Its been a year already!?
I remember sitting down last year writing this same thing, trying to summarize 2018, it is quite a task, and it feels like it was only yesterday!
I had more support and feedback last year after sending it out that I figured I would keep it up.
Anyways, I am thankful for every one of you. Everyone that gave me a smile, shared a memory, laughed at a joke, teased me, went out of their way to say hi, I am encouraged and thankful for you all.
See you next year!
David graduated from law school this year and passed the Idaho State Bar! We rented a big air BNB and enjoyed Boise for about a week. Doctor Bartels Esquire or something like that
I brought my road bike and rode up the hills in the background of this picture almost to bogus basin. It was about 3 miles of straight, 13 miles straight uphill, turn around, 13 miles downhill and coast home. Fun ride!
I had the pleasure this year of hosting some great friends from Germany! I tried my best to give them the full Northwestern experience, including going shooting, late night road trips, seeing the coast, and plenty of BBQing!
Work is awesome! I just hit my one year anniversary with Construction Components and am mainly managing production (live progress on jobs) and scheduling for upcoming jobs
I worked at the new Starbucks in downtown Puyallup across the street from the fair for about 10 months, I excelled at long conversations with customers while I should be working, and did not excel at making each Starbucks drink perfectly to the recipe every time.
I was able to have lunch with some past co-workers, one that lives local and one that was in town from China!
Of course every year these great friends deserve a shoutout. They are no longer stationed at Ft. Lewis so they are moving away, but we always have good times!
Scraping popcorn ceelings, texturing and painting is one of my least favorite things. But the house looks much better and updated with the new look!
I did some bike riding, some adventuring, some road trips, some camping, a little of everything in the outdoors this year!
I had a fun discovery this year while eating some carrot sticks at buffalo wild wings.Â
I usually stay away from raw carrots because I never really liked the taste of them, but when you have a massive plate of spicy chicken and all of your celery is gone, sometimes you just have to dive into your carrot sticks.
That is what I did, and my throat started to close up, it wasn't fast, but it was happening. A much benedryl and a a few days later I could breath normally again and I figured I should get tested. I thought I was reacting to something in a sauce, I didnt think I could be allergic to raw carrots, but the Dr. and the blood test told different.
What a weird and lame thing to be highly allergic to!
The animals are great and wild and cute as always! Vinnie really just likes chilling, so do the sheep, but Stella the cat decided to get herself stuck about 80 feet up in a tree for almost 2 weeks. Crazy cat
The Gambler 500 and driving this car around was a blast! I went to the Oregon Gambler in Chemult (Bend area) Oregon, and the Washington gambler in the mud flats and sand dunes of Moses Lake Washington!
Every minute of the Gambler is a joy, from getting stuck, to getting out, picking up trash, meeting new people, the camaraderie is incredible and I recommend everyone to find someone to go with some time! Come along with me!
You all are amazing! Thank you for following along in my journey for another year! I will see you next year, but hopefully sooner!
