Wacky year, huh!?
Anticipation, anxiety, fun, hurt, and hope!
I know every one of you experienced some or all of these things, we are blessed to make it through, and I am excited to see or hear from each of you soon!
Quite a bit happened this year in my life, some significant, some not so significant.
Enjoy browsing, and I look forward to hearing your highlights and what you learned in the past year!
I love you all!
Joseph
Big news, I bought a house this year! I have been doing mostly exterior modifications and a lot of cleaning up around the front and back yard from some weird landscaping and neglect. Of course there was interior work to do, but not quite so fun or glamorous.
The back yard came with a giant patch of strawberries, and some other plants that are more than welcome to stay too!
I worked a lot this year and am trying to slow it down a bit. The next section shows a glimpse into why I need to take it easier on myself.
Eat more strawberries, drink some whiteclaws! :)
I had a couple of ER visits. One ended with 8 stitches on my thumb that I am fully recovered from, and one gave me a cardioverse (a really big shock to get my heart beating back in rhythm again)
Great fall guys trip to Boise, ID and Moab, UT plus we got to try out the Airstream, a majestic way to camp. It was nice weather when we were there, but only hours after we left, it started dumping snow! We got out just in time.
You really can't go wrong with some bike and camping adventures! These little bikes are a blast, the adventure is more about who you are with anyways.... I am always thankful for those that adventure with me!
I traded my Gambler 500 car that I built (My sister Elizabeth's first car) for this jeep. I got a steal of a trade, but it did not come without tons of work. I had to cut out and re-weld parts of the frame, because jeeps love to rust, and I don't want my car to snap in half while hitting a bump.
Vinnie is doing well. He is now living with me at my new house. He is always trying to sneak onto the couch in the middle of the night (even though he has his own memory foam mattress). He sometimes enjoys car rides, sometimes enjoys walks, what he enjoys the most is people and chips. He is a lot like me!
Smoking meat as always. My favorite is still the pork belly burnt ends.
Visiting David in Boise for his birthday. April is a great time to visit Boise!
With the couple of weeks I had to take off for covid, and my first covid check, I did some modifications and tuned my VW. I have always wanted to dive into this, but the more I learned, the more I realized that this is all very detailed. It was a fun project to have during this time, and now I have more power and get at least another 10 mpg
Thank you for following along for another year! Or to all you new people in my life, thank you for letting me also be a part of your life. I am thankful for every one of you, probably especially those that made it this far on the page. I -- like many others-- am looking forward to 2021, and to some much needed sunshine.
See you next year! (or hopefully between now and then)
